About us

We are a group of mummies who give our wee ones breast milk. We meet weekly to eat cake, have a cuppa and catch up. We offer support and advice during pregnancy and for anyone considering breastfeeding (or expressing milk) and for mums once their little one arrives (especially in those critical early weeks). We also really want to be there for mums who didn't breastfeed the first time.
We are a friendly bunch and the group has mixed feeders, mums who express aswell as breastfeeding mums and mums who have stopped and weaned but give up their time to support other mums. The idea is to help if and when anyone needs it.
If transport is difficult, or you just want someone to come along with, please don't hesitate to contact us. We have mums coming from all directions who will happily collect you.

Some mums have successfully completed Solihull Approach Breastfeeding Supporter Training.
They are a 'mum to mum' Volunteer and follow the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Breastfeeding Policy.
This means they are like a well informed friend who can help and support you or give you the right direction to get help.

Why. Attending a support group is a good chance to meet up with mums and babies and find out more about normal patterns of breastfeeding.
The group is a great place to chat and chill and share experiences.
This can help boost your confidence in the early days when you and baby are still both learning about breastfeeding.
Mums also find that going to a group continues to be helpful in supporting breastfeeding as their baby gets older.

Please feel free to drop in @ any time, it's always good to see new faces.
